What is the process for commissioned work?
Share
You would like me to create an individual work of art for you, but you are not sure how it all works?
Here I will give you an overview of the process - if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.
Basically, the process is the same, regardless of whether you want to order a pencil, watercolor or acrylic/oil painting - only the processing times differ depending on the medium.
For digital works, there is no postal delivery time, but for works that are to be sent physically, this is of course added to the processing time. Please take this into account when sending gifts.
1. Please contact me if you have any questions before ordering. You can usually choose between different formats. The more faces/details you want to show, the larger the format should be. By the way, I don't charge any extra fees for additional faces to keep things simple. You can send me a reference photo before ordering and I will help you choose the best reference photo.
2. Order your portrait and send me your reference photo - if you haven't sent it to me yet. Please note that it is best to send it in high resolution by email to reference@sabrina-wohlfeil.art. Old photos are also welcome by post, I will then send them back to you with the finished picture
3. After receiving your payment, I will start working. I will send you a sketch before I start drawing details and shading. If you want me to send you further updates during the process, feel free to ask me. I tend to forget to take photos while drawing, so remind me by asking.
4. I need between 1-4 weeks to complete your artwork, as the paint obviously has to dry. I will send it to you as soon as I'm done. Please note that the postal delivery time will also be a few days extra.
5. Unpack your unique piece and enjoy it.
